Autumn on the Plaza
Santa Fe’s Plaza has been the commercial, social and political center of the city since 1610. Surrounded by many historic structures, it continues to be a hub of activity. The Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi at the end of San Francisco Street and the Civil War-era obelisk in the center of the Plaza are major landmarks. Even the popular fajita stand shown in this painting has achieved near-landmark status.
