Rain Enters the Grand Canyon
The first time I saw the Grand Canyon, it literally took my breath away. Since that first visit, I’ve returned and painted the canyon often, from both north and south rims. Each time is a challenge, because the landscape is so vast and complex, and weather and light conditions are always changing.
The day I did this painting, for example, rain was entering the canyon, which made this painting different from all others I had previously done there.
