The Colorado at Marble Canyon

Marble Canyon, located in northeast Arizona, is the section of river that stretches from historic Lee’s Ferry to the Little Colorado River, which marks the beginning of the Grand Canyon. This area is part of Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.

I made sketches and took photos from Navajo Bridge before making the final acrylic painting in my studio. The Vermillion Cliffs appear in the background.

The original painting was sold to a private collector by an art gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
