Daylilies in a Santa Fe Garden

MARTHA MARKS COMMENTS ON BERNARD MARKS’ “DAYLILIES IN A SANTA FE GARDEN,” FROM THE CITY DIFFERENT:

Santa Fe is known for its gardens. Writers and photographers have published uncountable numbers of coffee-table books about them. As a visitor, you may hear about them or read about them. However, unless you wander through some of the many public spaces, you’re not likely to see too many of them.

That’s because lots of gardens in the City Different are private. Tucked away behind high walls. So Bernie has done us a real service here. His lovely watercolor allows us to enjoy lovely yellow daylilies glowing in the sun behind that rough, cracked, privacy-guaranteeing adobe wall.

Excellent custom-made giclée prints on thick matte archival paper are available.
