Fishing at Windy Bridge
BERNARD MARKS WROTE ABOUT HIS EVOCATIVE “FISHING AT WINDY BRIDGE”:
Most people who fish can remember a special place like this. “Fishing at Windy Bridge” shows a spot on the Pecos River in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of New Mexico that is a favorite of fishermen from near and far. It also attracts artists who enjoy painting this spot, which is marked by a huge boulder that you can see on the right side of this painting.
I’ve painted there often. Whenever I see people fishing, I can only hope they’ll stay long enough for me to place them in a painting or two.
Click here to see The River and the Rock, my (largest ever) acrylic painting of that huge boulder as it appears from the other side of the river.
And here’s Fishing at Pecos Camp, showing another fisherman in the same river.
And two more from that same part of the Pecos River Canyon: Rolling Water on the Pecos and Pecos Reflections.
