Here’s another of Bernie’s lively street scenes set in downtown Santa Fe. He enjoyed painting people in ordinary settings, doing ordinary things. Except he always managed to make them look special… both the people and the places and the activities.
There are lots of pocket parks scattered around Santa Fe. People enjoy them at all times of the day, engaging in a wide variety of activities that bring sun, fresh air, and social interactions into their lives.
This large, bright print speaks to me of lazy summer days and good times with friends in Santa Fe. Just looking at it relaxes me and makes me happy.
