Oxbow Bend at Grand Teton
MARTHA MARKS COMMENTS ON BERNARD MARKS’ “OXBOW BEND AT GRAND TETON” FROM GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK:
This marvelous plein air watercolor shows one of the top two or three “must see” destination sights in Grand Teton National Park. Hard to imagine anybody going there and not making their way to this spectacular spot. No matter what the weather or the time or day, it never disappoints.
The official name of this place is “Oxbow Bend.” The river is the Snake. The mountain is Moran. The experience is unforgettable.
Bernie did plein air watercolors at Oxbow Bend at least two other times, as I recall. But this version was the clear winner. Nearly perfect in every way. I’m happy now to be able to offer excellent giclée prints of it.
Custom-made giclée prints on archival thick matte paper are available.
