Peaceful Stream

As I noted in introducing a similar painting that Bernie called “A Quiet Place“…
I have no idea exactly where or when he discovered and painted this scene. I’m sure it was somewhere in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of northern New Mexico, near our home in Santa Fe, because he painted it several times.
But I don’t really care where it is. What I do care about is that it clearly was a place that made him happy. I know that because he made two stylistically different — but equally finished, equally beautiful — paintings of it.
It makes me happy to offer both of them here, because I’m sure he was happy as he painted them. I’m confident that others will be happy with them, too.
