Aspen Patterns

MARTHA MARKS NOTES ABOUT BERNARD MARKS’ STRIKING “ASPEN PATTERNS”:

Bernie painted so many “named” places that it’s easy to forget he also tackled generic subjects like “Aspen Patterns,” a brilliantly colored, somewhat-whimsical representation of a stand of aspen trees in autumn.

There’s no way of knowing exactly where he found this particular stand of trees, but who cares? He could have painted “Aspen  Patterns” anywhere in the Rockies… from New Mexico to Colorado to Wyoming. Let’s just say it’s his usual lovely ode to a classic autumn scene in the mountains.

One of Bernie’s galleries sold the original “Aspen Patterns” oil painting. Fortunately, we do have a good digital photo of it, so it’s available here as part of our “Little Gems” collection.

If you like aspens, please check out all Bernie’s other gorgeous paintings featuring aspens: “Aspen Glory,” “Aspens in the Morning Light,” “Aspen Patterns,” “Aspen Shadows,” “Aspen Vista,” and “Sangre de Cristo Fall Splendor.”

This “Little Gem” giclée print on thick archival paper comes with a custom-cut white mat that fits into a standard 12″ x 12″ frame.

Contact Martha Marks if you have questions. And let her know if you’d like one or more of these lovely prints sent to someone else!
