Located in the Verde Valley of northern Arizona, Sedona’s main attraction is its array of red sandstone formations. The red rocks form a popular backdrop for a wide variety of activities, including the making of many major Hollywood movies.
The first documented human presence in the Sedona area dates as far back as 11,500 B.C. The first Anglo settler arrived in 1876.
This watercolor painting shows a typical rock formation in this beautiful part of the United States.
The original painting was sold to a private collector by an art gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
