Horse Carriage in Chicago #2

This is both an “Early Bernie” and a “Little Gem” with a special price for those who wish to purchase all three.

MARTHA MARKS COMMENTS ON BERNARD MARKS’ PLEIN AIR WATERCOLOR “HORSE CARRIAGE IN CHICAGO #2”:

Bernie made the paintings shown here over the three decades (1969-2002) that we lived in the northern suburbs of Chicago. Sometimes he painted these when we were together downtown. But other times he went to the city just for this. He loved painting human and animal figures, and… where better to find those things than along the city’s iconic Michigan Ave?

Bernie sold most of his Chicago-area paintings at summertime art fairs, but after we moved to Santa Fe in 2002, a gallery in Santa Fe sold them, too.

As a result, I have none of the original “Early Bernies” from Chicago and only the few digital photos listed below, which are good enough to reproduce as prints.

These come with our “Early Bernie” 25% discount: Horse Carriage in Chicago #1, Horse Carriage in Chicago #2, and Horse Carriage in Chicago #3, Oak Street Beach, Water Tower in Chicago, and Water Tower and 7Up Truck

Each of these “Little Gem” giclée prints on thick archival paper is priced at just $99, including all applicable taxes.

And even that low price drops to just $70 each if you purchase all 3 “Horse Carriage in Chicago” prints.
