BERNARD MARKS WROTE ABOUT HIS BIG, GLOWING OIL PAINTING “BRYCE VALLEY” FROM BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARK:
“Bryce Valley” at Bryce Canyon National Park in southern Utah is a stunning sight from the rim, which is how most people see it. Those who only drive in, park, and gawk can get their fill of glowing red-orange rocks and hoodoos and leave happy. Those who take the time to hike into the canyon get another perspective, however.
That’s the one I chose for my painting “Bryce Valley,” with its many orange layers against a backdrop of color-coordinated fir trees.
